The Uruguayan journalist Víctor Hugo Morales and the former Argentine soccer player Juan Pablo Sorín analyzed this Thursday the teams that will play the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Zurda Infinita talks with ex-soccer player Esteban Cambiasso
In the Zurda Infinita program, broadcast by teleSUR, Morales and Sorín reviewed the classified teams that will start the new phase of the tournament on December 9, as well as the injuries in some teams and the tactics that have been developed for the matchups on the field.
Both commented on the capabilities that Argentina has, which in this match can surprise and have in its lineup some of the players who had an injury in previous matches during the tournament; as well as the Netherlands, with its historical tactical predisposition and which usually attacks on the wings.
“There is no need to say more words, but wait for the facts,” said Sorín.
Regarding the other game of the day, Sorín highlighted that Croatia, the current runner-up, has experienced players who “have not only excelled in their national team, but in clubs around the world.”
For his part, Morales commented that “we are going to have two vertical and frontal games, at least more than the first phase. Brazil attacks and Croatia is going to respond in the same way”.
In addition, he noted that Argentina and the Netherlands are even teams that respect each other, have played on more than one occasion and “have a similar production in terms of what they have done.”
Later, they spoke with actor Juan Palomino, who played soccer star Diego Armando Maradona in the series Maradona: Sueño Bendito.
Palomino highlighted a wide range of aspects of Maradona as an iconic and mythical character in the world, commenting that this role allowed him to get closer to a greater understanding of the life of the former soccer player.
