Tragedy in Pennsylvania; At least 10 dead, including three children, from a house fire


At least 10 people died this Friday, including three childrenin a fire in a house in Nescopeck, in the center of PennsylvaniaUSA.

Local authorities reported that three children – five, six and seven years old – and seven adults died in a fire that has destroyed a two-story house. Three adults have been able to escape, according to the ‘Daily Voice’ newspaper.

Police identified the rest of the victimswhose ages range from 19 and 79 years old.

In addition, a local volunteer firefighter, Harold Baker, told the media that the people who were in the house are members of his family, including two children, several grandchildren, his father-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.

“Firefighters attempted valiant efforts to enter the house from the rear but were repulsed by flames and heat,” police officer Derek Felsman told a news conference.

Thus, the cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities. “We are utilizing multiple department resources to ensure a thorough and complete investigation of this fatal fire,” Felsman said. (EuropePress)
