Tom Brady will jump to the cinema with comedy with Jane Fonda

Mexico.-After announcing his retirement just a few weeks ago, American football superstar Tom Brady is preparing his jump to the movies. The former quarterback of the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make his Hollywood debut with a comedy in which he will share the stage with such legendary actresses as Jane Fonda, Sally Field and Rita Moreno.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the best player in the history of the NFL, winner of seven championship rings, will produce and will be one of the protagonists, playing himself, of ’80 for Brady’, a ‘road movie’ with the world of American football as a backdrop and in which, in addition to Fonda, Field and Moreno, there will also be Lily Tomlin.

The project, produced by Paramount Pictures and Endeavor Content, will be directed by Kyle Marvin, who also co-wrote the script with Michael Covino. The film will tell four fans of the great American sports star to see the final of the 2017 Super Bowl, a championship with which Brady won as quarterback of the New England Patriots by beating the Atlanta Falcons 28-34.

It will not be the first time that Tom Brady plays himself, the player has already made cameos in series such as Entourage, How to live with yourself and in animated productions such as Family Guy or The Simpsons that also featured the appearance of the shining star of the NFL.

Marvin, who appears as an actor in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series WeCrashed and co-wrote and starred in the independent film The Climb, is also an executive producer with Covino under their Watch This Ready banner.
