A federal judge denied a protection a Tomas Zeron de Lucioformer head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), for the arrest warrant that weighs against him for the crimes of torture, coalition of public servants and forced disappearance, in the Aytozinapa case.
Luz María Ortega Tlapa, Eighth District Judge of Amparo in Criminal Matters, determined not to protect Zerón, since the crimes for which he is accused are considered serious.
Zerón de Lucio’s defense filed the amparo request on November 25, 2021, but after this resolution the arrest warrants against him remain in force.
It was in April 2021 when the capture of the former official who is a fugitive from justice and sheltered in Israel was requested.
