Real Madrid presented the new shirt that incorporates a historic color and new technologies for the players

Real Madrid presented this Friday, together with Adidas, its new shirt that it will wear as a visitor during the 2022/23 season and in which it recovers the color purple.

The away kit for the Madrid team returns to the color used in the 2016/2017 season to reflect the “intensity of the moments before the team match”, assures the manufacturer. The shield is represented in monochrome and the shirt is crowned by a round neck.

On several occasions Madrid has used purple as a secondary uniform. The last time he used it he was champion of the Champions League after defeating Juventus 4-1. The geometric pattern on both the front and back of the jersey is a throwback design used by Adidas in the 1990s.

At the shirt presentation were Vinicius, Luka Modric, Toni Kross, Militao and Marco Asensio, of whom there are rumors about his possible departure from the team during the summer.

Made with 100% recycled materials, it features HEAT.RDY – KEEP COOL technology to keep players “fresh and dry”. The design, warns the manufacturer, refers to the “collective feeling shared by players and fans during their arrival at the stadium.” The print draws from the firm’s classic kits from the 90s.

And another of the new features of the shirt is that it will have the number 14 incorporated on its right sleeve, which represents the 14 Champions League that Madrid has won in history, after winning the last one at the Stade France in Paris.

The players will premiere it on July 30 in Los Angeles in a match against Juventus in Turin. It is already available from today through the official Real Madrid stores, Adidas stores and selected partners.
