President of the World Baseball Confederation ends visit to Cuba | News

The president of the World Baseball-Softball Confederation (WBSC), Riccardo Fraccari, concluded his visit to Cuba on Monday, after participating in the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the national series (leagues), and evaluating strategies to expand the support of the institution to that sport on the island.

Fraccari participated last Friday in an exhibition game between the current champion, Granma, and the maximum accumulator of championships, the Industriales team from the capital, who won the first with a score of 11 runs for 3, in extra innings.
The next day, together with collaborators and directors of Inder, the official visited the Batos Sports Equipment Production Company to study possible joint actions in the production of equipment and equipment for baseball and softball.

On that day, the director received extensive information on the development strategy of Cuban baseball, during a meeting held in the Adolfo Luque Hall of the Latin American stadium.
Fraccari traveled to Cienfuegos on Sunday to greet Antonio Muñoz, the “Giant of the Escambray”, and learn about his experiences working with children in the community.
Cuba has a long tradition in baseball, since its arrival in the country in the mid-nineteenth century, and its deeds have been recognized in world competitions.
