“The false dichotomy between the Nuclear Agreement (to which Iran, unlike the US, remains a party) and good relations between Iran and its neighbors, including Russia, does not hide the fact that the indecisiveness of the disloyal US. The US is the main obstacle to an agreement”, said the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, through the social network Twitter.

The official’s statement comes after the comment of US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who said on July 20 that maintaining cooperation with Russia is a “really bad idea”, after accusing Iran of allegedly planning to give drones to Moscow. before the military operation in Ukraine.

Kanaani indicated that the Iranian government’s good neighbor policy does not depend on the Nuclear Agreement “nor on the permission of the United States.”
