The stabbing murder of a 23-year-old Hispanic employee who was the sole breadwinner for his family has shocked the entire community of Montgomery County, Maryland, who are demanding justice.
This Monday the 28th, thanks to the investigations of police officers from the city of Gaithersburg and Montgomery County, it was possible to capture Trenton Flowers-Jackson, 25 years old and a resident of the Rockville area, who was arrested and charged with first Degree Murder,
The crime was perpetrated last week at the Lakeforest shopping center in Gaithersburg, according to the county police.
According to initial investigations, Flowers-Jackson entered the T-Mobile store where Maldonado worked as a salesperson. Then, without saying a word, she began to stab him in various parts of his body.
Maldonado tried to escape but collapsed near the mall's food court. He was immediately taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds to his face, ear, stomach, shoulder and back, and later died from his injuries, judicial sources said.
Flowers-Jackson and Maldonado knew each other, a police spokesman said, but the motives for the crime are unknown.
After the tragedy, a cordon of agents surrounded the Lakeforest Mall, which is located at 701 Russell Avenue.
In the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify and link Flowers-Jackson to the homicide, who was arrested in Rockville on Saturday, February 26.
A police report stated that the man was charged with first-degree murder.
Flowers-Jackson is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was confirmed booked without bond.

Silvia Maldonado, mother of a Hispanic employee stabbed in the aforementioned Montgomery shopping center, now faces the horrendous aftermath of the violent death of her son José Alexander.
She has created a GoFundMe on social media, and this week she shared with the community, “from the bottom of my heart”, a fundraising campaign for her family who has been left homeless. Her goal is to help cover the funeral expenses of her son, who died at such a young age.
Silvia is a single mother who takes care of three other children, as she mentions on the GoFundMe site.
"On Monday, February 21, I received the most heartbreaking news that changed my life, my son was brutally murdered in the Lakeforest shopping center, and died of his injuries," he says in his message.
“I will always remember my son as a kind and loving person with a smile always on his face no matter what. A person who had hopes and dreams for me and his brother,” he adds.
"His dreams were to buy me a house and finish paying off his first new car," he says, explaining that José was "the only breadwinner in the family." All those dreams were frustrated.
"Now we are left with nothing to be able to pay for his funeral expenses and then to help me survive, as a single mother and my 3 children, since we were not prepared for this situation," the message says.
There are already several residents who are supporting this family. If you want to join this campaign visit the site:
