Explosion in a house in VIRGINIA leaves one dead
An apparent explosion at a Virginia home killed one person Monday night, fire officials said.
The Hanover County Fire and EMS Department said crews responded to a report of an explosion at a home on Billingswood Drive in Mechanicsville around 5 p.m., media reported. One person was killed and the explosion does not appear to be suspicious, the department said.
No one else was injured, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. The explosion was likely accidental, not criminal, and may have involved a burned barrel, the sheriff’s office said.
