Eight dead and 12 injured, leaves confrontation between criminal groups in Sonora

This morning a showdown between two criminal groups left a balance of eight people dead and twelve more injured in San Luis Rio Colorado, sonorous.

According to the Sonora Secretary of Public Security, the confrontation began in a community in Baja California and later moved to the Ejido Luis B. Sanchez, in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.

State forces and members of the security bureau arrived at the scene of the events and seized vehicles, weapons, tactical equipment, ammunition, as well as three people who were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

In this first confrontation, three people were killed and four more injured.

In subsequent events, but apparently related to the first, five more people died and eight were injured.

As a result, security forces, state and federal elements, in coordination with the Security Bureau, reinforced their presence in the municipality to safeguard the safety of the population.
