Cruz Azul officializes the departure of Juan Reynoso as technical director
The Cruz Azul club finished this Thursday the cycle of the Peruvian Juan Reynoso as Technical Directora year after achieving the coveted ninth title.
The dismissal of the Peruvian strategist occurs four days after the team was eliminated by Tigres in the quarterfinals of the Grita México C22 tournament.
“Cruz Azul terminates the sports cycle of Mr. Juan Reynoso. Starting today Juan Reynoso he is no longer the technical director of our first team“, reported the club in a statement.
The situation was already complicated with Juan Reynoso, we lost our compass, the team no longer had ideas or football, it was something necessary but equally painful.

“The institution thanks you for the successes achieved during your management. La Novena will undoubtedly be one of the greatest chapters in the history of this club”, he added.
In May 2021, Reynoso achieved the ninth title for the club in the Guard1anes Clausura tournament, after more than two decades of sporting failures.
Y He went down in the history of the club by becoming the first technical director of Cruz Azul who wins a championship as a player and as a strategist. The Peruvian was captain of the squad that won the eighth title in the Winter 1997 tournament.
Reynoso, who was appointed technical director of Cruz Azul’s “Celestial Machine” in January 2021, replacing Uruguayan Robert Dante Siboldi, recorded 35 wins, 19 draws and 19 losses. (rts)
