Carlos Molina hopes to leave Ukraine “today or tomorrow”
Spanish international Carlos Molina, a player for the Ukrainian Handball Motor Zaporozhye, is close to reaching the Polish border and thus completing his long journey to flee Ukraine.
“Last night everything took an unexpected turn. After some decisions made, some negotiations and help from the Lithuanian Embassy, we were very lucky to find a way to position ourselves less than five kilometers from the border,” says the player on his social networks.
Molina believes that “possibly today or tomorrow” they will set foot on Polish soil, thus closing a trip that began last Thursday in Kiev, where they landed after playing a Champions League match against Kielce.
Since then, the Spanish side has been recounting his “hell” on social networks, where former teammates and athletes have conveyed their support.
