Police arrested a woman who attacked two men with scissors at Dupont Circle on Friday night.

DC police announced Monday they had 35-year-old Mary Nelson Kennedy in custody and charged her with assault with a dangerous weapon in the attack.

At around 7:30 p.m. Friday night, Nelson Kennedy allegedly stabbed one of the men in the back of the head.

A witness interviewed by police said both actions were "without provocation."

During the investigation, police said the first victim pointed in the direction of Nelson Kennedy when there were no other civilians around and said, "That's her in the pink pants."

The same witness reported that she saw Nelson Kennedy fleeing the scene of the crime when a Secret Service officer shot and arrested her.

A bloody pair of scissors was discovered in Nelson Kennedy's bag.
