Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovicseeded second, has qualified for the Wimbledon Quarterfinalsthird tournament grand slams of the year and that is disputed in the All England Club of Londonafter beating the Polish Hubert Hurkacz in four sets, by 7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), 5-7 and 6-4, a match that needed two days to finish.
Djokovic, currently second in the world, suffered a lot to defeat hurkacz, seventeenth seed and an accomplished specialist on grass who was a semifinalist in 2021. The Pole connected 33 aces and only allowed a 'break' to Belgrade in the fourth set, which served to put his victory on track and meet in the next round with the Russian Andrey Rublev.
Rublev, Seeded seventh, reached the quarterfinals after beating Kazakh alexander bublik in five sets, 7-5, 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-7 (5) and 6-4, despite the 39 direct aces of his rival, who committed up to 14 double faults.
