Will he be a candidate for governor in Yucatán? Sheinbaum signed the PAN deputy Rommel Pacheco
Despite the fact that the National Sports Commission (Conade) suspended financial support for aquatic athletes, the former diver and until today deputy of the National Action Party (PAN), Rommel Pacheco, announced that he is joining the self-called “Fourth Transformation” (4T).
This Friday night he shared a photo on his X account with Morena's presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo: “Ready for what's coming. Thank you very much Dr. @Claudiashein for making us part of this project,” she wrote.
Minutes later, the former head of government of Mexico City thanked him for his decision and recognized his sporting career. In addition, she hinted that the Pan American Games medalist could compete for the icing on the cake in 2024 for the governorship of his home state, Yucatán.
“Dear Rommel, it is an honor and a privilege that you are part of this project that grows every day. You are a great athlete, a great Mexican and a great human being. Thanks thanks. Welcome. Hope unites us. In Yucatán the transformation project is also growing”
