Russia launches nearly 40 drones against several regions throughout Ukraine
Last morning, Russia launched a total of 38 Iranian-made Shahed bomb drones against several provinces in the east, center, south and west of Ukraine, as reported this Thursday by the Ukrainian military authorities.
Half of those drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses, which, however, were unable to prevent some drones from hitting their targets in several regions.
The most affected city has been Kharkiv, in the northeast of the country. According to the region's police, at least ten drones launched by Russia have hit civilian infrastructure. An educational institution has been hit, and several residential and administrative buildings have been damaged.
In Odessa, in southern Ukraine, the head of the military administration, Oleg Kiper, has reported “an impact” on an unspecified infrastructure and the downing of two aircraft.
The respective regional authorities have also reported explosions in Dnipropetrovsk (center) and Khmelnitsky (west).
In addition, Ukrainian defenses also intercepted a Kh-59 missile last night, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force. (EFE)
