Virginia police to this man who disappeared from the snow storm

Virginia police are searching for a man who disappeared during Monday’s snowstorm.

Authorities in Hanover, Spotsylvania and Louisa counties are working together to find Jacob Whaley, who disappeared in Hanover County, reports WRIC-TV.

According to a family member, Jacob Whaley was driving home Monday when his truck sank into a ditch. He called a family member and told him he would walk the rest of the way, which was about 6 miles (9.7 kilometers). A few hours later, Whaley texted the family “I’m lost” before his phone died and has not been heard from since.

Whaley’s car was found in Hanover County near the Spotsylvania border, police said, but Whaley was not found on searches in the area.
