Governor Glenn Youngkin signed nine Executive Orders and two Executive Directives at the Virginia State Capitol, fulfilling several of his First Day promises to Virginians.
Executive Orders:
Restore excellence in education by ending the use of divisive concepts, including Critical Race Theory, in public education.
Empower Virginia parents in the education and upbringing of their children by allowing them to make decisions about whether their child wears a mask to school.
Restore integrity and trust in the Virginia State Board of Parole.
Investigate irregularities in Loudoun County.
Make government work for Virginians by creating the Chief Commonwealth Transformation Officer.
Declare Virginia open for business.
Combat and prevent human trafficking and provide support to survivors.
Establish a commission to combat antisemitism.
Withdraw from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).
