Vinícius JuniorBrazilian forward Real Madrid, assured this Thursday in the Court of Instruction number 10 of Valencia what it felt like “offended” by the insults that he received at the Stadium of Mestalla on May 21, during the LaLiga Santander match that pitted his team against Valencia CF, as confirmed to Europa Press sources familiar with the procedure.
The Brazilian international has dclarified by videoconference before the Valencian judicial instance, a body that investigates three young people for alleged racist insults to the Madrid judge.
Vinícus's statement should have occurred last June but it had to be postponed because the player is traveling outside of Spain. A new appearance was set for September 28, but it also had to be postponed until this Thursday.
The player has ratified the complaint filed by LaLiga before the judge and has assured that he felt “offended” by the insults he received “because of his skin color”he pointed out.
For their part, the three young people investigated in their statement before the judge they denied any type of hatred or racism against Vinicius or against any other player.
Court number 10 of Valencia opened the procedure after receiving a report from a possible hate crime prepared by the Information Brigade of the Higher Police Headquarters of the Valencian Community.
In addition to these previous proceedings, the complaint from the National Professional Soccer League, entity appearing in the case as a private accusation.
