gerard Pique announced that 2024 will be the year of Kings League expansion across America -with a competition in Brazil and another focused on the Latin market with headquarters in Mexico– and also in France and Italy.
14 days after the Civitas Metropolitano de Madrid hosts the Final Four of the summer leagues of the Kings League and Queens League, Piqué spoke for EFE of the future of its successful soccer and entertainment proposal, which it intends to replicate in various territories until it has a dozen tournaments throughout the world in three years.
“2024 is the year in which we are going to expand. After carrying out an exploration exercise on the most important or priority markets for us, we decided to bet on all of Spanish-speaking America, Brazil, France and Italy. All of them bring two things together: that they really like soccer and that they have an important community of streamers and that is how we were born and how we want to continue”.

Piqué informed that the The Kings League headquarters in America will be Mexico.
“That is where we will have our house, our pavilion, as we have here in Barcelona (the Cupra Arena). And the League is going to be called Kings League Americas”.
12 presidents
He explained that after choosing the pavilion, they must choose the 12 presidents who will be lucky enough to have a club there and what are they going to be streamers Spanish-speaking people from all over America, and also the one who will be the president of the League.
He indicated that possibly in October he would travel to Mexico to make the announcement, make the draft and in January they start the season.

Kings League in Brazil
In the interview conducted by de Ginés Muñoz for EFEthe ex-soccer player was questioned why create a Kings League just for Brazil instead of including it in the American League.
“In the Kings League in Brazil, Neymar will have his club. We have wanted it that way, basically because of the language, because we believe that it is an important issue. How the presidents interact with each other, how they do it with the president of the League.
"We want Spanish to be the language of the Kings League America and Portuguese to be the language of the League in Brazil."
Will the new Leagues be the same as the original Kings League or do they intend to innovate?
-Yes, we want all the competitions to have the same calendar and we are also going to create a committee that is going to ensure that all the Leagues are governed by the same rules.
“In the end, what we want is for there to be an annual international competition where the best of each League qualify. So, from the moment you bring together several teams from each League in a new competition, you need the rules to be the same for everyone so that no team has an advantage”. (EFE)
