According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the person who called 911 was a loss prevention employee, and reported two people walking through the store allegedly trying to steal electronics and other high-end products.

“You have a false receipt. It’s a common fraud we see, he has it uploaded to his phone, it’s a fraudulent receipt, I clearly saw him in the electronics department grabbing expensive merchandise. They are going to leave soon,” the employee told 911.

The video shows officers arriving at the Walmart store and inside the business. they found one of the suspects, identified as Ernest Aguilar, who was with an unidentified woman.

One of the officers is heard informing the suspects that Walmart was refusing service because they thought they were about to steal.

“I assume you have a fake Walmart receipt on your phone,” the officer said.

Aguilar denied the accusations and they tried to leave the store, moment when the marshals tried to stop them to get the information and noticed that the suspect was carrying a knife.

“Get your hand off the knife!” a sheriff said, while the suspect replied “sorry, sir”.

When the officers tried to handcuff Aguilar, a physical dispute ensued and they found the suspect was armed.

“He has a gun!” a bailiff yelled, at which point the shots were fired.

After being treated at a hospital, Aguilar was arrested and jailed.

Court records indicated the suspect is a convicted felon and may not carry a firearm.. He has since pleaded guilty to the incident, among other charges.

Aguilar is scheduled to appear in court this Friday.

The other two people Aguilar was with at the Walmart store, including the woman, were arrested but later released.
