Un día después, las Fuerzas Armadas reconocieron el golpe de Estado, el segundo que sufre el mandatario desde que llegó al poder en 2021. El mandatario sigue retenido, a pesar de las reiteradas peticiones por parte de la comunidad internacional y gobiernos como el de EE UU y Francia que han condenado la acción y han pedido la puesta en libertad del presidente y su familia.
