Cristiano Ronaldo, estelar futbolista portugués en el Al-Nassr de Arabia Saudí, dio al club su primer Campeonato de la King Salman Clubs Cup, donde marcó un doblete que dio el triunfo a los suyos por 1-2 sobre el Al-Hilal.

El partido, disputado la mañana del sábado en el estadio King Fahd, comenzó con ventaja para Al Hilal, que al minuto 51′ se fue arriba con gol de Michael Richard Delgado de Oliveira (1-0). Con desventaja y tras la expulsión de Abdulelah Al Amri al 71′, Al-Nassr necesitaba un héroe para meterse al encuentro, y el portugués respondió.

Al 74′, con un pase filtrado desde la banda derecha, CR7 definió de diestra frente al portero para igual el marcador a uno cuando su equipo más lo necesitaba, con un hombre menos en cancha.

Cristiano estuvo cerca de sentenciar por el final del tiempo regular, pero el árbitro señaló un fuera de juego que sentenció la prórroga, donde ambos equipos tuvieron oportunidades de las piernas de sus refuerzos estelares en 2023.

La final se definiría en el tiempo adicional.

Con el duelo en la línea y Al-Nassr peleando por su primer Copa de Campeones de Clubes Árabes, el fichaje de uno de los mejores anotadores en la historia del deporte rindió frutos.

Luego de que un tiro de Seko Fofana impactara en el larguero al 98′, ya en el adicional, Cristiano cazó el rebote y, con un cabezazo de palomita, sentenció  el partido con un doblete que lo confirma como un jugador clave en los momentos decisivos.

Ya en el segundo tiempo extra Ronaldo abandonó la cancha en el carrito con una lesión que encendió las alarmas, pero con el silbatazo final, no tardó en tomar la cancha junto a sus compañeros y celebrar su primer título en Arabia Saudí desde su llegada, procedente del Manchester United de la Premier League, en diciembre de 2022.
