Venezuelan prosecutor issues arrest warrant against Juan Guaidó | News
The Venezuelan Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant on Thursday and will request a red alert from Interpol against former opposition deputy Juan Guaidó, the Venezuelan attorney general, Tarek William Saab, reported at a press conference.

The head of the Public Ministry indicated that the arrest warrant was requested for the crime of treason, which is provided for and punished in article 128 of the Penal Code.
The judicial measure against the former opposition deputy was also for charges of usurpation of functions, provided for and sanctioned in article 213 of the Penal Code.
The Venezuelan attorney general added that the former deputy was accused of profiting or diverting money, securities or public property, provided for and punished in article 81 of the Anti-Corruption Law; money laundering, provided for and sanctioned in article 35 of the Law Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism.
He was also sanctioned for association, provided for and sanctioned in article 37 of the Law Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism, crimes of usurpation of functions, money laundering, terrorism, arms trafficking, treason and association, among others. .

"Guaidó used PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela) resources to cause losses close to or greater than 19 billion dollars," said Tarek William Saab.
The arrest warrant and the request for a red alert from Interpol were announced following revelations provided to several media outlets by a federal court in the United States.
The Public Ministry designated prosecutors 77, 73 and 74 for a new arrest warrant against the former opposition deputy who is a fugitive from justice.

Tarek William Saab pointed out that in addition to these crimes there are five other investigations against Juan Guaidó related to irregularities committed in the Monómeros company, for a total of 28 cases against this mafia.
In addition to the use of resources from the state oil company, the prosecutor also detailed the theft of assets and diversion of humanitarian aid funds by the Venezuelan opposition.
