Venezuelan authorities denounced this Wednesday that there was a new criminal sabotage against the facilities of the oil industry in the South American country, orchestrated by the extreme right.

In a statement, the Presidential Commission Alí Rodríguez Araque, assured that it is about the explosion caused on January 11 in the Poliducto de Oriente, located in the Naricual municipality, in the city of Barcelona, Anzoátegui state, from which everything is distributed fuel to the eastern states of the country ”.
“This criminal action is part of the permanent war directed by groups belonging to the Venezuelan extreme right that, protected by North American imperialism, seek to attempt and boycott the important advances that the Bolivarian Government has achieved within the new production system,” said the commission.

“All of this adds to the criminal record of sanctions and threats to which the Venezuelan oil industry has been subjected, during the last five years, by oppositionist and extremist sectors, whose agenda continues to be violence, with the alleged intention of interrupt all operations associated with PDVSA in its different areas, “he explained.
The Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos reported that the fire has been progressively controlled, thanks to the work carried out by the PDVSA Integral Security Directorate, the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), State and Municipal Police.
After the incident, teams from the State Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) were deployed in order to carry out contingency protocols and guarantee the prompt restitution of fuel distribution.
