The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received with his work team this Monday the Mexican Foreign Minister, Alicia Bárcena, at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas (capital) to hold a dialogue on bilateral cooperation.

During the exchange, both government representatives showed their willingness to cooperate in key areas, in the face of the challenges imposed on the global agenda.

"We talked about progress in the different areas of bilateral cooperation, always seeking the well-being of our people," highlighted the Venezuelan head of state on his X social network account, and described the meeting as fruitful.



Present at the meeting were the first combatant, Cilia Flores, the vice minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, and the Venezuelan ambassador to Mexico, Francisco Arias Cárdenas.

The meeting between the dignitary Maduro and the Mexican Foreign Secretary takes place a month after the dialogue they held in the context of the Summit of the Group of 77 (G77) and China, in Havana, capital of Cuba.

Previously, the Mexican Foreign Minister had held a meeting with the Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.

Mexico and Venezuela began their diplomatic relations in 1831, based on collaboration and respect. Currently both countries are working to promote political dialogue, trade and bilateral relations in all areas.
