The Covid-19 vaccine will not be compulsory for those attending the Qatar World Cup 2022, but it will be necessary to present a negative test to enter, informed the Supreme Committee of the sporting event.

All people who are six years old or older must show an official negative test PCRtaken no more than 48 hours before departure time.

Also accepted are rapid antigen tests (RATs), as long as they have been taken no more than 24 hours in advance. However, RAT self-tests will not be considered valid.

Both must be done in a medical center in the country of origin and the result must be presented at the airport check-in counter. The children under the age of six are exempt of this measure.

Those who arrive in Qatar will not be required to undergo quarantine, regardless of vaccination status or country of origin. However, if they test positive for Covid-19 while they are in the nation, they must isolate themselves according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health.

Visitors will also not be forced to take a coronavirus test after arrival or before leaving. However, all international travelers over the age of 18 must download and install the EHTERAZ application on their mobile phones to enter any enclosed public indoor space.

The tournament will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. At the FIFA World Cup, Mexico will be part of Group C where they will debut on November 22 against Poland, four days later they will face Argentina and finish the first phase against Saudi Arabia on November 30.
