Uxue Barkos (Geroa Bai) será la senadora autonómica por Navarra esta legislatura
Pamplona, 13 ago (EFE).- La cabeza de lista de Geroa Bai en las últimas elecciones autonómicas y expresidenta de Navarra Uxue Barkos será propuesta por su formación para ocupar el cargo de senadora autonómica, puesto que con probabilidad obtendrá gracias al pacto de Gobierno alcanzado con PSN y Contigo Zurekin y que supondrá su cese como parlamentaria foral.
La designación, confirmada a EFE por fuentes de Geroa Bai, llega en el marco de los acuerdos entre PSN, Geroa Bai y Contigo Zurekin por el que se reparten los diferentes cargos en el futuro Gobierno y otros derivados de ello, como la presidencia del Parlamento foral o el senador autonómico, en ambos casos para Geroa.
La formación, que integran PNV y Socialverdes, ha decidido proponer para el Senado a Barkos, quien sustituirá en otoño a su compañero Koldo Martínez, y que conllevará su cese como miembro del Parlamento foral, en el que en mayo había obtenido escaño por tercera legislatura consecutiva y donde todo apuntaba a que continuaría como portavoz de su formación.
La expresidenta del Gobierno de Navarra (2015-19) ya fue diputada en el Congreso de 2004 a 2015 y también portavoz de Nafarroa Bai en el Ayuntamiento de Pamplona desde 2007 hasta 2015. EFE
