US urges Arab leaders to condemn Hamas attacks on Israel
The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken held a telephone conversation this Saturday with the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbasin which he urged all Arab leaders to condemn the unprecedented attack carried out by Hamas against Israel which has already left more than 500 dead.

Blinken shared on social media: "I spoke with Abbas, president of the Palestinian National Authority, about the terrorist attacks against Israel. I urged all leaders in the region to condemn these heinous acts of terrorism."
Hamas' devastating attack on Israel sparked a fierce new war with Gazaresulting in the loss of life of at least 250 Israelis and 232 Palestinians, according to the latest data confirmed by medical sources on both sides of the conflict.
In an official statement from the White House, the president of the United States, Joe Biden strongly condemned "the terrorist attacks" against Israel and reiterated Washington's firm support for the Jewish State. In his words, Biden stated: "In this moment of tragedy, I want to tell the world and the terrorists that the United States stands with Israel. We will never stop standing with them."
Given the escalation of violence, Arab countries have urged an immediate cessation of hostilities between Israel and Palestinian militias in Gaza. Egypt has announced that it is maintaining "intensive contacts" with both parties to achieve this ceasefire objective.
Simultaneously, Iran and pro-Iranian Shiite groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen have openly expressed their support for the militias.
