The US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, arrived in China on Thursday to begin her four-day visit in which she will meet with senior officials from the Asian country, with the aim of channeling trade relations between the two powers.

In it, "he will discuss a series of macro and financial issues," including how both countries can "responsibly manage their relationship, communicate directly on areas of concern, and jointly address global challenges," the Treasury Department website reported. USA of American country.

This is Yellen's first visit to China as Treasury Secretary, and marks the second US Cabinet-level official to visit the Asian nation in less than a month, after Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Yellen's arrival coincides with the fifth anniversary of the imposition of tariffs on more than $300 billion worth of Chinese imports by the administration of former US President Donald Trump. The official criticized these taxes, however, the current president Joe Biden has not rescinded them.
