None of the central administration services and agencies belonging to COFE will function, but guards will be maintained at essential public services.

Health workers from the Federation of Public Health Officials (FFSP), members of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE) and the Ministry of Public Health, will also stop their duties on this day, although they will maintain guard duty to urgent care, emergencies, hospitalization centers and cancer patients.

The main objective, according to the leader of the (FFSP), Martín Pereira, is “to recover the salary of the workers, that there are more human resources and budget to improve working conditions and the quality of care provided to users. ”.

The lack of responses and solutions from the Executive Power is one of the main reasons for the march on July 18 to the Ministry of Economy, where the leaders of the Federation will intervene.

During the day, a concentration organized by the FFSP is planned at 10:30 am (local time) in front of the Executive Tower.

The leader of the FFSP, Martín Pereira, urged to continue with the concentrations carried out with the Covid Plan because the constant renewal threatens the stability of workers and patient care.

The health sector lost 6.0 of its emoluments, something that the FFSP expects to denounce in Parliament’s Budget Accountability Report.

The public health sector has also suffered a cut of 15 percent while 120,000 new users joined the State Services Administration (ASSE) who stopped receiving salaries due to the situation in the country.

The different ministries have agreed on the duration of the strike in a particular way between eight and 24 hours. In addition, there will be no broadcast on National Television.

Nor will the National Library, Civil Registry, and Public Records work in order to draw the attention of the greatest number of people and government entities.
