Mexico.- The trust and solidarity of the university community and citizens at UNAM have contributed to this university collecting 120 more tons of humanitarian aid, for the benefit of the population of Guerrero affected by Hurricane Otis.

Today six torton-type trucks left the University Olympic Stadium (EOU), each with 20 tons, which were delivered to the authorities of the Autonomous University of Guerrero with clothing, medicines and provisions, which will be channeled through this educational institution to the inhabitants of Acapulco and other locations.

So far, there have been seven shipments sent from the collection that began on October 26 and a total of 562 thousand kilos of donated products, which were transported by land to that entity.

The UNAM continues with the collection until Friday, November 10, in parking lot 8 of the EOU, located in Ciudad Universitaria, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Among the main products that are suggested to be donated are: bottled water, canned foods, bathroom items, first aid materials and hand tools for debris removal, such as shovels, pickaxes, barrows and wheelbarrows.

The coordination of the collection center is in charge of the Secretariat of Prevention, Care and University Security and operates under the management of the General Directorate of Community Care, with the support of the General Directorate of Analysis, Protection and University Security and the General Directorate of General Services and Mobility.
