The Pumas coach, the Argentine Antonio Mohamed, received a financial penalty for wearing a shirt with the image of the Guadalupe's Virgin during the Apertura tournament match that his team lost at home 0-1 with Monterrey.

The Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation announced the fine to the 53-year-old coach, although it did not specify the amount.

The Federation prohibits players or members of the coaching staff from showing tattoos or images of matches, political or commercial campaigns, as well as slogans, advertising (except authorized trademarks), political, religious or personal messages.

Mohamed wore a shirt with the image of the Virgin and when asked at the press conference what his opinion was of the possibility of being sanctioned, with a serious face he responded: “None.”

“The National University Club is warned about the future conduct of its coaching staff, since in the event that this type of actions arise again, the Disciplinary commission may impose more severe sanctions against you“, warned the note.
