The Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Cassidy Hutchinsonthe former White House aide who launched several explosive revelations at a House hearing this week, mocking her as a “social climber”, claiming she was “living in a fantasy land” and dismissing the allegation that he lunged at a Secret Service agent on January 6, 2021.

The 45th president scoffed at Hutchinson’s suggestion that he tried to overpower his protective gear and drive the presidential van to the Capitol, saying during an interview Thursday with Newsmax that “These guys lift 350 pounds, I don’t”.

“A woman lives in a fantasy land,” Hutchinson, a former senior adviser to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, said of Hutchinson.

“She is a social climber, if you call that social,” he continued.. “I think it’s unfortunate that this is happening to this country, and we don’t have Republicans there to discuss it.”

Cassidy Hutchinson accused Trump of trying to snatch the wheel of her limousine from a Secret Service agent when she was not allowed to join the Jan. 6 riot.

Trump denied the accusations Hutchinson made about his alleged actions during the assault on Capitol Hill.

According to Hutchinson, who testified under oath before the House select committee investigating the unrest on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Trump was so outraged when Secret Service agents refused to allow him to join his supporters that he tried to grab the steering wheel. of the van he was driving. and he lunged at Secret Service agent Robert “Bobby” Engel.

“I’m the fucking president! Take me to the Capitol now!” an enraged Trump yelled, recalled Hutchinson, who said Antony Ornato, then White House deputy chief of staff for operations, had briefed him on the incident.

“Is there something wrong with her?” Trump mused aloud.

“You said I jumped out of a car and started strangling a Secret Service agent? Did I grab the steering wheel of a car? Did I say I wanted guns at my rally? He didn’t want weapons. I have to speak up too,” added the former president, who alleged that the Secret Service called Hutchinson’s claims “totally false.”

Shortly after Hutchinson’s testimony, Secret Service sources disputed the claims of various media outlets, with CNN reporting that Ornato had denied even linking the incident to him.

“They put it on and they won’t even confirm it with the Secret Service,” Trump said. “The Secret Service people in the car said this didn’t happen, but you don’t even need that. Who would do that? Grab a Secret Service person by the throat?”

In her testimony, Hutchinson also said that Trump knew that some of the attendees at his “Stop the Steal” rally were armed with AR-15-style assault rifles and firearms, but told Secret Service agents to remove the weapons. metal detectors to increase the size of the crowd in camera shots.

“I was close to a conversation where I heard the president say something to the effect of, ‘I don’t give a fuck if they have guns. They are not here to hurt me. Take the damn (magnetometers) off,’” Hutchinson said.

Trump insisted in the Newsmax interview that he “didn’t want other people to get hurt,” but added that the crowd was “one of the largest groups I’ve ever talked to before.”

The former president went on to claim that the House committee was “illegally formed.”

“When you look at what they’re doing and what they’re saying, what they’re doing to the country, the good news is a lot of people aren’t looking. A lot of people aren’t listening to it, but they’re trying to do real damage,” he said.

Hutchinson’s attorneys, Jody Hunt and William Jordan, said late Wednesday that their client “stands behind all of the testimony he provided yesterday, under oath, to the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol.” . “His bravery and patriotism from him yesterday were unbelievable to behold,” Cheney said of the committee’s star witness.
