Tropical storm Franklin continues its path after hitting the Turks and Caicos Islands and Hispaniola this Thursday, and goes out to sea strengthened, where it can become a hurricane next Saturday.

Until the latest update from the United States National Hurricane Center (NHC), Franklin sustains winds of 95 kilometers per hour and maintains an east-northeast course at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour.
The authorities detailed that the tropical storm winds extend over an area of up to 185 kilometers around the center of the phenomenon.
NHC experts predict that the system will continue to gain strength in the next 48 hours, and will become a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale by Saturday.
Franklin made landfall last Tuesday on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic and crossed the island of Hispaniola where it left flooding, heavy rains and winds.
So far, only one person has lost their life and it was in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, where more than 500 homes were also affected.
In the Atlantic there are two areas of low pressure that are under surveillance, one of them 1,600 kilometers east-southeast of Bermuda, and another several kilometers from Cape Verde.
