According to the Carabineros major, Juan Francisco Carrasco, the accident occurred about 500 kilometers south of the city of Santiago, when the bus violated the stop signal due to the proximity of the train and caused it to hit it, leaving behind seven people died of the 14 who occupied the vehicle.
