Tollbooths go up to Acapulco; New Year's Eve season

Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) reported yesterday afternoon that the National Infrastructure Fund gave instructions so that starting this Wednesday, November 15, 2023, there will be an upward update of 3% for rates on highways in Mexico.
Through a statement, the authority indicated that the increase in booths will allow the resources collected from tolls to be used to cover expenses related to the operation and conservation of the road sections.
They added that the adjustment in the rates of each toll plaza may vary due to rounding for each type of vehicle, as well as with respect to the average increase.
For example, on the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway the charge was 585 for cars and 292 for motorcycles, now the payment that users will have to make will be 603 pesos for cars and 301 pesos for motorcycles.
In the list of the costs of the booths it is indicated that the Mexico-Puebla highway has a cost of 198 pesos for cars and 99 for motorcycles, so with the 3.0% increase the price will be 204 pesos for cars and 102 pesos for motorcycles.
The same happens on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, since it is the same current cost, cars will pay 204 pesos and 102 pesos for motorcycles starting this November 15.
The Mexico-Cuernavaca highway will cost 140 pesos for cars and 70 pesos for motorcycles. Previously, 136 pesos and 68 pesos were charged, respectively.
La Capufe invites you to consult the current rates through its website https://pot.capufe.mx/gobmx/transparencia/tarifas.html.
It should be remembered that after the impact of the hurricane Otis In Acapulco, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) installed a highway bridge to allow free passage for emergency vehicles and the evacuation of affected people until last November 5 when it was lifted.
From there, transfers were reestablished as established.
During the bridge, the SICT reported that a total of 12,944 people affected by the hurricane were rescued through the humanitarian bridge, by air and by land.
Businessmen from Acapulco have asked the authorities for facilities so that tourists can visit the port before the arrival of the end-of-year season and so that they could recover a little from the damage caused by the hurricane.
