They steal an ATM, but leave it forgotten and run away
A group of at least 10 armed individuals took over an ATM, which they later abandoned, police sources in the state of Hidalgo reported.
The events occurred in a bank branch located in the Pedregal neighborhood, in Ciudad Sahagún, a town in the municipality of Tepeapulco.
According to reports, the subjects subdued the guards, whom they tied up and then maneuvered and seized the device, which they removed from the place.
The robbery was reported by the affected company to the emergency number that deployed security corporations in that region and it was the state police that managed to locate and recover the device on board a red GMC pick-up truck, which the alleged criminals left abandoned near Carlos Lazo Avenue.
Meanwhile, the criminals ran away from the scene. The unit and the ATM were secured and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry related to the investigation folder that the company opened for the acts committed.
