Civil Protection authorities of the Mexican state of Durango reported this Thursday that the collapse of a mine was reported in the municipality of Indé.

“A collapse is reported in the Gambusina mine in the municipality of Indé, our coordinator, as well as personnel from this unit, are already flying to the site, together with emergency care corporations,” the entity reported through its account on the social network Twitter. .

Local media have reported that, according to a preliminary report of the event, the collapse left at least one dead and one injured.

For his part, the governor of Durango, Esteban Villegas, reported that Civil Protection teams, specialized rescue services and medical care were deployed to the scene.



The collapse would have occurred in the early hours of the morning in the drilling area of ​​the mine, located in the town of San Rafael de Jicoriga.
