The authorities of Sinaloa they started the installation of hostels because of the risk of heavy rains for the south of the state, which could exceed 150 millimeters as "Lidia" approaches the Pacific coast.

The municipalities with the highest risk are San Ignacio, Mazatlán, Concordia and Rosario, but the alert extends from the central area of ​​the entity and with the probability of moderate rains to the north.

The largest number of shelters were installed in Mazatlanto serve nine vulnerable flood zones, which include 80 neighborhoods and some rural areas already detected.

For these reasons, the Ministry of Public Education and Culture of Sinaloa decided to maintain the suspension of classes at all educational levels for this Tuesday, October 10, to avoid any incident with the students.

The state's ports have also been closed to navigation and dozens of shrimp boats have returned to port to avoid mishaps.
