The National Migration Institute (INM) - in an inter-institutional action - located early Saturday morning at the immigration verification point of the San MartĂ­n Texmelucan toll booth in Arco Norte, 100 migrants who were transported illegally and in Overcrowded conditions on a tour bus.

At the aforementioned site, in the municipality of Ixtacuixtla de Mariano Matamoros, Tlaxcala, the transport driver was stopped, and upon carrying out the corresponding inspection, the 100 people who could not prove their regular stay in the country were located.

Among the foreigners, there were 44 men and 10 single women; seven unaccompanied minors and 13 family units made up of 37 people (18 adults and 19 minors) for a total of 98 migrants of Guatemalan nationality, in addition to two Mexicans.

It is worth mentioning that three of the Guatemalan adults were traveling inside the trunk of the truck.

All adults were channeled to immigration offices in the entity to carry out their immigration administrative procedure, while family groups and minors were under the protection of the State DIF Migrant Children's Shelter.
