They denounce Bolsonaro for early electoral propaganda | News

The Workers’ Party (PT) of Brazil denounced President Jair Bolsonaro on Monday before the Superior Electoral Court, after the president organized a motorized electoral caravan on April 16 in the state of Sao Paulo, failing to comply with the schedules established for election campaigns.

In this sense, the PT specified that the “Accelerate for Christ” event, led by the Brazilian head of state, is considered early electoral propaganda, for which it rules out any attempt to qualify them as derived from the exercise of his presidential position.

“Jair Bolsonaro’s participation was active and proactive from the beginning, he publicly called the event, he rode all the way on his motorcycle, inciting his supporters with gestures typical of his campaigns, he got into a car, he held a rally, he asked for votes, explicitly and implicitly”, denounced the lawyer representing the PT, Eugênio Aragão.

Previously, the PT denounced the president for the caravan organized for the first time on April 8 in Sao Paulo, where he also carried out extemporaneous elective advertising, with the participation of the Rural Society of Paraná and deputy Filipe Barros.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, the organized event affected the state’s public coffers with about 1 million reais (approximately $200,000), a financial amount used to reinforce surveillance during the eventuality.

It is worth noting that in June of last year, spending on the first motorcycle in Sao Paulo had 1,433 police officers, five planes, ten drones and about 600 vehicles.
