They arrest three subjects linked to the kidnapping of the mayor of Cotija, Michoacán
On social networks, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Jalisco reported that in coordination with the Michoacán Prosecutor's Office, they managed to arrest Raúl N., Adrián N., and Luis Miguel N., alleged participants in the kidnapping of Yolanda Sánchez Figueroa, according to information provided by According to the Jalisco prosecutor's office, the detainees are originally from Michoacán.
So far, the Prosecutor's Office was able to establish that the victim left a shopping plaza in the municipality of Zapopan, accompanied by two more women, while they boarded a rental vehicle they were intercepted by armed men who took the Michoacan mayor away.
The mayor was released three days later, and was located while she was on a passenger bus heading to Zamora, already in Michoacan territory.
The Secretary of National Defense and the National Guard also participated in the operation.
