"There are rich banks and poor people": Rubén Moreira calls for legislation against charging commissions
The coordinator of the PRI Parliamentarians Group, Ruben Moreira Valdez, He pointed out the need to legislate against the collection of commissions in the country's banks.
In a statement, referring to a message shared by the deputy on the TikTok social network, he reported that “in this first quarter the banks won everything, they did very well, with historic profits. There are rich banks and poor people.
“Historically, banks were created, among other things, for someone to deposit money and use it to lend to another person and with the differential they would make a profit. This does not happen, now the bank does not lend as it should, but for keeping your money, for managing it, for giving you an account statement, for withdrawing it at another ATM, it charges you, and it is so much that it ends up having historical profits. It is a great deal, ”he asserted.
He added that something has to be done in the Chamber of Deputies.
“It is not easy, but we have to tell the banks not to take the work of Mexicans abroad,” he said.
