There are at least 40 people trapped by the collapse of the Church in Tamaulipas
At least 40 people who were inside the church of the Santa Cruzin Madero City, Tamaulipaswere trapped under the rubble after the building collapsed.
Meanwhile, state authorities reported that so far three people have died and two injured people have been taken to hospitals.
The collapse occurred this Sunday afternoon during the celebration of collective baptisms, so dozens of families were crushed by the earthenware and structure of the building.
According to the first reports from municipal authorities, at least 10 people were rescued in the first minutes, while the machinery of local companies that arrived at the scene is engaged in rescue work.
Elements of the Army, National Guard, Red Cross and Civil Protection also arrived in the area to coordinate the work.
