The United States will host the new Club World Cup in 2025
The first edition of new FIFA Club World Cupwhich will have 32 teams, will be held in the United States in 2025, the organization reported this Friday.
FIFA had confirmed in March that the renewed Club World Cup will be held every four years starting in June 2025. FIFA Council unanimously designated the United States as the host of the competition for the first edition of the expanded format.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be the pinnacle of elite club professional men's football. With the required infrastructure coupled with massive local interest, the United States is the ideal host to kick off this new global tournament.
The Confederation champions from 2021 to 2024 will play in the new Club World Cup, meaning Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City, winner of the UEFA Champions League last season, have qualified from Europe.
Palmeiras and Flamengo from Brazil have secured a place for Conmebol; while, that for the concacaf Rayados have done it and Lion from Mexico and Seattle Sounders from the United States.

The highest soccer body stressed that the decision to give the Club World Cup to the US took into account the possibility of "maximizing synergies" considering that the World Cup will be played there in 2026, together with Mexico and Canada, as well as the position of the country as “a proven leader” when it comes to hosting major global events.
The dates of the Club World Cup are not yet known, nor are the cities in the United States that will host the tournament.
