USA.- Yesterday afternoon, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, arrived in Washington, DC, to carry out a working visit within the framework of the High Level Economic Dialogue that will take place next Friday, September 29. .

Foreign Minister Alicia Bárcena, along with the Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, will meet with their American counterparts at the State Department to talk with Antony Blinken, Secretary of State; Gina Raimondo, Secretary of Commerce; and Katherine Tai, United States Trade Representative; on how to strengthen supply chains, develop the workforce and facilitate investment in both countries.

Upon her arrival in DC, the head of Mexican diplomacy held a meeting with the president of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee and president of the delegation of the Mexico-US Interparliamentary Group (IPG), Tim Kaine, as well as with the bipartisan leadership of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to discuss the priority issues of the bilateral relationship.

Likewise, Foreign Minister Alicia Bárcena Ibarra will participate together with the Undersecretary of State for Management and Resources of the United States, Richard Verma, in the thirteenth edition of the CEO Dialogue Mexico-United States, in order to promote dialogue with representatives of the private sector of both countries and promote cooperation on priority issues of the economic relationship between Mexico and the United States.

Likewise, the Mexican official's work agenda includes a meeting with both the Hispanic Caucus of the United States House of Representatives, as well as with the president of the Foreign Relations Committee and members of the Mexico-US Interparliamentary Group.

Foreign Minister Bárcena will also hold high-level meetings with President Biden's Homeland Security Advisor, Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall; and with the United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry.
