The second season of Netflix’s ‘The Squid Game’ already has a release date

The South Korean series ‘Squid Game’, known in Spanish as ‘The Squid Game’, became a phenomenon on Netflix thanks to its plot and stunning scenarios that gave the public “the creeps”.
And we can’t forget those red jumpsuits, masks and gloomy music that heralded the start of a deadly game. However, everything seems to indicate that the return of the favorite series of many is further than expectedas the creator Hwang Dong-hyuk broke the silence on this detail.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Dong-hyuk revealed that the second installment will not will be released until late 2023 or early 2024. In addition, he announced that the filming of this second installment has not started, despite having signed with Netflix several months ago.
On the other hand, the director announced that so far has ideas about new games that will take place in this new season.
“Humanity will be tested through those games again“, he pointed. “I want to ask the question: ‘Is true solidarity between people really possible?'” She added, opening a question about how the characters will develop after the unexpected ending of the first part.
Let us remember that in the last scene, the protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) let his supportive side win and decided not to leave to meet his daughter to try to avoid another edition of the sadistic games. But will he be able to stop the massacre? We will know until the end of the year 2023.
