Although Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, her words will live on in the future thanks to a secret letter he left for the citizens of Australia.

The letter is addressed to the future Mayor of Sydney with instructions not to be open until 2085.

“To the just and honorable Lord Mayor of Sydney, Australia. Greetings. On a suitable day selected by you in the year 2085 AD, please open this envelope and convey my message to the citizens of Sydney. Elizabeth R”.

The letter is kept inside a glass case in a restricted area of ​​the building. ‘Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee’ (Queen Elizabeth’s great-great-grandmother) built in 1898.

Queen Elizabeth II wrote the letter in 1986 while visiting Australia as part of her Commonwealth tour. His first trip to the mainland island was in 1954, when he was only 27 years old, two years after his coronation. The last time he visited the country was in 2011, nine years before his death.
