The judge summons Rubiales to testify as a defendant for sexual assault and coercion

The judge of the National Court Francisco de Jorge summoned this Friday the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales to declare as investigated in the open case for sexual assault for the kiss he gave to soccer player Jenni Hermoso after the World Cup final.
One day after admitting to processing the complaint filed by the Prosecutor's Office against Rubiales for the crimes of sexual assault and coercionthe magistrate has issued an order in which he summons the former director to appear before the Central Court of Instruction number 1 together with his lawyer.
In another of the proceedings that the judge wants to carry out to “find out the facts reported” by the Prosecutor's Office, he considers that Rubiales could incurring a crime of sexual assault by kissing Jenni Hermoso, without her consentheard while he grabbed her head with both hands, and another of coercion due to the pressure that she and those around her received to justify the episode publicly.

At the time of admitting the complaint to processing, The judge has already ordered to collect all the videos and images that they recorded the kiss that Rubiales gave Hermoso "from all angles", and also the minutes immediately before and after the event related to the celebration of the team's victory in the World Cup in Sydney.
The judge also wants to analyze the videos of the celebration in the locker room and also on the bus.
The Prosecutor's Office filed a complaint against Rubiales after Jenni Hermoso formalized her complaint against him in an appearance in which she confirmed that the kiss was not consensual and reported that both she and those around her suffered pressure.
Rubiales presented on Sunday night his resignation from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) after more than five years at the head of the institution and twenty-one days after that episode, which caused a global stir that led FIFA to provisionally disqualify him for ninety days.
